Programs
Birmingham Bloomfield Montessori offers programs for Toddlers starting at 18 months through Kindergarten:
- Our Montessori program is Monday-Friday
- Half Day Programs are 8:30-11:30am
- Full Day Programs are 8:30am-3:15pm
- Toddler/Preschool is either Half Day or Full Day
- Kindergarten is Full Day only
- All programs have the option to add on before school or after school care for an additional fee
Classrooms are multi-age. Students will remain in the same classroom with the same teachers for the duration of their program
- Toddler program: 18 months-33 months
- Toddler Transition program: 30 months-36 months
- Preschool & Kindergarten: 33 months (must be toilet-trained) through 6 years
Before & After School Care
- Before School Care is available for an additional fee from 7:30-8:30am
- After School Care is available for an additional fee from 3:15-6:00pm
Summer Camp
- We offer Summer Camp on a weekly basis following our Academic Year Program
- Summer Camp is available to children 18 months – 12 years
Toddlers Ages 18 months – 3 years
Our Toddler programs are designed to address the needs of this early developmental period by focusing on the processes of independent exploration, learning, and the joy of discovering the world. Toddlers receive responsive, individualized attention to help them with practical life skills, sensorial exploration, language development, development of fine and gross motor skills, investigation of the natural world through science, and an appreciation of art and music.
Toddlers enjoy group activities including songs, stories, movement, Spanish, Art and Music Together outdoor play, and snacks. Materials are carefully selected and prepared for children in this critical stage of learning and discovery.
Preschool/ Young 5’s/Kindergarten Ages 3 – 6 years
Our Pre-Primary Program is designed to nurture a child’s natural curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning while providing a solid foundation for future academic success. For children ages 3 to 6, we offer a dynamic, hands-on learning environment where they can grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually at their own pace. No child is pushed ahead before they are ready and no child is stifled from moving on to their next challenge.
In this program, we focus on developing key skills through “work” which most students call “play!”, exploration, and structured learning activities. Children engage in age and academic appropriate materials that promote early literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills. Our dedicated Montessori teachers create a supportive, interactive atmosphere that encourages independence, collaboration, and self-expression.
Before & After Care Ages 18 months – 6 years
Our Before & After Care program provides a safe, enriching, and flexible environment for children ages 18 months to 6 years, offering extended care before and after the regular school day. Designed to complement the academic and social development of your child, this program gives parents the peace of mind knowing that their child is well-cared for in a supportive, fun, and structured setting.
We focus on providing a balance of engaging activities and relaxation, ensuring that children have the opportunity to unwind after school or start their day with a sense of calm and excitement. Whether it’s playing with friends, enjoying creative projects, or participating in outdoor activities, our Before & After Care program fosters a positive and nurturing experience for children.
