We cannot believe we have reached the end of the academic year! We are so proud of all our students and incredibly grateful for your partnership this year. Please read through this newsletter carefully for everything you need to know about our big Zoo Trip, the transition to our new parent app, and summer logistics.

End of Year & Father’s Day Zoo Picnic!

  • Last Full Day of School: Thursday, June 11
  • Friday, June 12: School is CLOSED for classes as we celebrate at the Detroit Zoo!

Arrival & Meeting Info:

  • When: Please arrive between 8:30 AM and 8:45 AM. We must start our zoo adventures at 9:00 AM sharp!
  • Where: We will be meeting directly at the main zoo entrance.
  • What to bring: Don’t forget to pack sunscreen, sun hats, and your walking shoes!

End-of-Year Supplies & Summer Camp

  • Taking Supplies Home: If your child is not attending summer camp, please ensure you take all of their personal supplies, winter gear, and extra clothing home with them by Thursday.
  • Health Appraisals: If you are heading to the pediatrician soon, please remember that we need a new Health Appraisal form on file every year for Preschoolers and every 6 months for Toddlers. You can download the form from the Parent section of our website, or grab one directly from your doctor’s office.
  • Summer Camp Kickoff: Summer camp officially begins on Monday, June 15. We are so excited for a summer filled with fun themes and in-house field trips!

Important App Transition: Moving to Brightwheel!

Starting Monday, June 15, we are officially switching our parent communication app from LineLeader to Brightwheel. While they work similarly, please keep these three important details in mind:

  1. Match Your Check-In PIN to Your Door Code: Brightwheel auto-assigns a random check-in code. Because your physical building door codes will remain the same, please change your Brightwheel PIN to match the 4-digit code you already use. Only the main account holder can do this. To change it: Open the app, under your name select “Edit Profile,” and update the code right above “Settings”.
  2. Grace & Patience: We have been working hard to set up and practice on Brightwheel, but there are features we won’t be able to fully test until we go live on Monday. Please be patient with us during week one! You may see fewer photos initially as our staff prioritizes accurate care logs (ratios, potty time, diaper changes, meals, etc.). If you run into issues, please message us and Amanda will troubleshoot.

Summer & Fall Billing Information

You will see tuition billed this coming Friday, June 12 for:

  • The first week of Summer Camp.
  • Tuition Payment #1 for the Fall academic year (if registered).

Reminder on Fall Tuition: Next year’s academic tuition is split into 10 installments. Payment #1 ($500) is due this June, followed by Payments 2–10 from September through May 2027.
