As we prepare to welcome the spring season, we have some exciting updates to share. We will be welcoming new faces in our classrooms and are excited for our upcoming “Lucky to be at BBM” Spirit Week! Please take a moment to read through these important notes.

Enrollment & Summer Camp

Re-enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year is officially open!

  • Early Bird Discount: Enroll for the Fall session by March 31 to receive a 5% discount on next year’s tuition (beginning June for Toddlers and September for Preschool/Kindergarten). The link to re-register for 26-27 is: birminghambloomfieldmontessori.com/current-families
  • Summer Camp: Our summer program features exciting weekly themes and at least six in-house field trips where the entertainment comes directly to us! While Toddlers are registered year-round, Preschool & Kindergarten can register at: birminghambloomfieldmontessori.com/summer/. We do have a 6-week minimum to register but you can pick and choose weeks based on your summer schedule.

Welcoming New Faces!

We are thrilled to welcome new families and students in the coming weeks. Please also join us in welcoming Ms. Sara, who will be starting with the BBM team this March!

Important Reminders

  • Health Appraisals: As your child has their annual well-checkup, please remember to have your pediatrician fill out a new Health Appraisal. You can download the form here: Health Appraisal PDF.
  • Attendance & Late Arrivals: If your child will be absent or if you are running late, please send a message via LineLeader (to the office and/or teachers) as soon as you are aware. This helps us ensure proper staffing and ratios throughout the day.

Celebrating Birthdays at BBM

At BBM, birthdays are a wonderful time to reflect on a child’s unique story. We love to celebrate and will make your child feel special on their birthday. To ensure these moments remain safe, equitable, and focused on the child’s growth, we observe the following traditions:

  • The Birthday Journey Around the Sun: This is our signature BBM ceremony! The birthday child holds a globe and walks around a “sun” once for each year they have been alive. As they “orbit,” we share photos and milestones from that year, celebrating how they’ve grown from their first steps to today.
  • The Birthday Book Donation: In lieu of treats or gifts, we invite families to donate a favorite book to the classroom library. We will include a commemorative nameplate inside and read it to the class during the celebration.
  • A Healthy, Gift-Free Environment: To protect students with severe food allergies and maintain a focus on the child rather than “stuff,” we strictly maintain a no-food and no-goodie-bag policy.

“Lucky to be at BBM” Spirit Week: March 16–20

Get ready for another fun-filled week as we celebrate community and the arrival of spring:

  • Mon, Mar 16 | The Rainbow Connection: Wear as many colors as possible!
  • Tue, Mar 17 | The “Green-Out” (St. Patrick’s Day): Wear head-to-toe green!
  • Wed, Mar 18 | Lucky Socks & Locks: Wear silly socks or a wild hairstyle (ribbons, headbands, etc.).
  • Thu, Mar 19 | Pot of Gold Day: Wear yellow or anything that sparkles.
  • Fri, Mar 20 | Shades of Spring: Wear floral prints or pastels to welcome the Spring Equinox!

March Madness Reading Month

March is reading month! Keep an eye on LineLeader for a message from your child’s teacher. We will be sending out a sign-up link for Mystery Readers to visit our classrooms and share a story with the students.
